Template System

Project Templates That Start the Work for You

Droova’s templates hold a predefined task structure, default roles, and time estimates, so every recurring kind of project starts ready to go. Save your best projects as templates, or draft new ones with AI, and stop rebuilding the same plan every time.

Prefer to try before you commit? On the demo, bring one live project. We set it up on Droova for you, so you test it on real work, not a sandbox.

What it does

  • Reusable project templates. A template holds a predefined set of tasks (and subtasks), so a new project starts with the structure already in place instead of a blank screen.
  • Default roles and assignments. Templates can carry default task assignments by role, so when you spin up a project the right tasks land with the right people.
  • Timeline estimates. Tasks in a template can carry estimated hours and relative deadlines, giving you a realistic starting timeline on day one.
  • Save any project as a template. Finished a project that went well? Save it as a template so the next one of its kind starts from your proven structure.
  • AI-assisted template creation. Describe the kind of work in plain language and let AI draft a template structure you can edit before saving.
  • Edit before you commit. When you create a project from a template, you can adjust tasks, assignees, and dates before the project is created. The template is a starting point, not a lock-in.

What it does not do

Straight scope, so you know exactly what you are getting.

  • No conditional or branching templates. A template is a fixed task structure, not a workflow that changes based on answers to questions.
  • No marketplace of public templates from other companies. Templates live inside your workspace.
  • Editing a template does not retroactively change projects already created from it. Each project is its own copy once created.
  • No document or proposal templating. The Template System builds project and task structures, not client-facing documents.
Who it is for

Teams that run the same kinds of projects again and again — website builds, campaigns, audits, onboarding — and want a consistent, proven structure each time.

Who it is not for

Teams whose every project is genuinely one of a kind, where a fixed task structure would add overhead rather than save time.

How it works

  1. 1 Go to Templates and click New Template, or open a finished project and choose Save as Template.
  2. 2 Add or refine the tasks, subtasks, default roles, and time estimates. Or describe the work and let AI draft it.
  3. 3 Save the template to your workspace.
  4. 4 When you start a new project, pick the template, adjust anything you need, and create the project with its tasks already in place.

Frequently asked questions

Can I turn an existing project into a template?
Yes. Open a project and choose Save as Template. Its task structure becomes a reusable starting point for future projects.
Do templates include who does what?
They can. Templates carry default task assignments by role, so the right tasks land with the right people when you create the project.
If I change a template, do my existing projects change too?
No. A project created from a template is its own copy. Editing the template only affects projects you create afterward.
Can AI build a template for me?
Yes. Describe the type of work in plain language and AI drafts a template structure you can review and edit before saving.
Are there ready-made templates from other agencies?
No public template marketplace. Templates are private to your workspace, built from your own projects and your own way of working.
